Rob Levy has always been passionate about art furniture and design. He was introduced to woodworking at the age of 15 when he began working for his father in the family’s cabinet business, where he quickly developed a deep appreciation for the fusion of art and craftsmanship.
Rob went on to study under several renowned furniture artists, earning an Associate of Fine Arts (AFA) degree from Bucks County Community College, followed by a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Furniture Design and Fine Woodworking from the University of Massachusetts.
In the early 1990s, Rob worked at the Peter Joseph Gallery in New York City, which represented 20 of the country's top furniture makers. He later founded Hudson River Woodworks, a high-end custom woodworking company in New York specializing in residential custom built-ins, including library rooms, entertainment centers, kitchens, and one-of-a-kind furniture pieces. Rob's work has been featured as the cover story in two industry magazines, Woodshop News and the Cabinet Makers Association. He is the recipient of two industry design awards and has exhibited his work at various art shows.
Currently, Rob operates a design and build studio, where he creates his signature art furniture and takes on commission projects.
Seeking a lifestyle change and inspired by the Rocky Mountains, Rob and his wife, Suzanne, relocated to Boulder, Colorado, in 2011 with their two children, Julia and Jake.
